Law EnforcementHiring More Police OfficersElmhurst, LeFrak City, Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst and Corona need additional personnel to handle the growth in population and increased commercial activity in the area. Currently, the precinct is undermanned and parts of our district need a regular police presence on the street. More police presence in our area will go a long way toward reducing criminality on our streets and improving quality of life for residents. Consistently assigning officers to specific areas where quality of life violations are a problem will help assure the safety and health of the residents of this community. Daniel Dromm will ensure that our area gets the resources it needs and deserves. Increasing Traffic EnforcementThe most common complaint Daniel Dromm hears from residents is the problem of traffic congestion and its negative side effects like noise and pedestrian injuries. Active intersections and avenues need the constant presence of enforcement officers to regulate the flow of traffic and guard against parking abuses. As your city council representative, Dromm will fight to increase the number of traffic enforcement officers in our area. Their presence will help deter drivers from double parking, blocking the crosswalk, and making dangerous u-turns. We need more enforcement to preserve and protect residential quality of life.
